Too Tired To Care

Sunday I woke up with no ambition. I got in the shower, came out and just did not know where to go from there. I saw my cat sleeping and decided to take her into my room. I loved how tired she was, she adapted to my bed in a matter of minutes. I was moving so slowly. I wanted to look nice, but I didn't even have the energy to put on makeup or dry my hair. I eventually took a nap.
I've been tired. It's Thursday. I think it's a side effect of my medication. It is. Just looked it up, fatigue.

I got a super duper cool gadgety cell phone today.
That's how I interact with technology.
I name everything. My Macbook Pro is Easton, my iPod is Rupert, and now the newest edition to the clan,
KIPLING!

I have been long awaiting the arrival of little Kipling. He has a 5 megapixel camera, radio and wifi. My old phone, Jefferson had a 2 megapixel camera and NUTHIN.

My radio show's first episode airs tomorrow at 12.30 to 1.30

and of course click on the link below at 12.30 every Friday

Named after The Cramp's album Bad Music for Bad People
So why the hell not post a cool Cramp video?

cool indeed.

even cooler?
Daniel Radcliffe, who already is a total babe, knows Tom Lehrer. Not only knows, but very much appreciates Tom Lehrer. Gave him a big shout out on Graham Norton and recited one of his songs.
It got me a little hot.
but maybe that's just me.

I'm Going To Be Famous!

GUESS WHAT?!

Oh fine, i'll tell you. I can't resist that face.

Good News: MY RADIO SHOW WILL BE AIRING THIS SEMESTER!
Bad News: THE WHITE STRIPES BROKE UP!!

I should have started with the bad news. Oh well.
But how about that.
Can't say I'm devastated. They haven't put out anything in ages- they were putting off breaking up it seems. It does suck though. I'm not a huge fan of The Dead Weather (or the Raconteurs for that matter). But as long as Jack White keeps on doing his thing I'm happy.

And back to my big news.
My radio show:
GOOD MUSIC FOR GOOD PEOPLE
I'll have more details, when I actually know them.
But I've been looking forward to this for like forever.
Go me.
I love that there is a cat picture for almost every situation.

Now for tonight. Let me introduce you to (if you didn't already know),

Now ladies, I warn you. Pete & Carl are pretty irresistible.
And I assume you know Pete, cause that guy gets in so much trouble even us Americans know about it.
He was also getting a lot of press for dating that hot bitch Kate Moss (Especially in the I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself video, speaking of The White Stripes).
Anyhow, The Libertines are an old favourite of mine.
It was unfortunate that right when I found out the existed a month or two later they canceled their tours and broke up. Talk about great timing.
I mean they only put out two full length albums (Up the Bracket, The Libertines) so I don't beat myself up over it. too much.

Goodness, that performance made me want to throw my panties at them.

Anyhow. So they broke up and it was sad.
And then two new bands were born.
The spawn of The Libertines are as followed:
Pete's Band "Babyshambles"
Carl's Band accompanied by The Libertines drummer Gary Powell "Dirty Pretty Things"
Both bands produced a whopping two full length albums!
(that was sarcasm.)
It's the sophomore album curse!
Except instead of failing they just up and quit.

Babyshambles put out Down in Albion in 2005
Dirty Pretty Things put out Waterloo To Anywhere in 2006
Babyshambles put out Shotter's Nation in 2007
Dirty Pretty Things put out Romance At Short Notice in 2008

I didn't just spend five minutes lining up the years by coincidence.
That is totally strange.

Then would you believe it, they both went solo!
And both put out only one album so far.
(Cross your fingers they didn't get bored of that already. I want at least a second album.)

To continue the pattern:
Pete put out Grace/Wastelands in 2009
Carl put out his self-titled solo, Carl Barat in 2010

Pete you're up next.

Long Live the Libertines.
Or at least their bloodline.
